These Zinfandel vines are 22 yrs old, grown on the top eastern exposed side of Atlas Peak in Napa Valley. This site is home to the native Wappo Indian Caves and arrowheads everwhere. The soils are silt loam with small rock dividing the horizons. A natural cut in the mountain range allows a stream of cool air from San Pablo Bay to keep the canopy cool and the breeze allows it to ripen to its spicy, juicy character. Grown orgaincally.
